This page is here partly as an EU regulatory requirement, but more importantly as an opportunity to explain clearly our values towards your privacy.
Any tracking or data collection is done in order to help us facilitate our main purpose of relationship building. Our main goal as a business is to network with people and companies who will really benefit from our services.
We believe in nurturing authentic relationships built on trust and respect. The best way for us to initiate this process is by communicating through social media, and through email.
Your email address
Every email that we send you will have an ‘unsubscribe‘ link. This means that you can easily unsubscribe at any time. We will not sell your email address to any third parties for any reason. We will not pass on your email to any other people or companies for any reason unless legally forced to do so.
We collect email addresses of people who voluntarily email us, or fill in an email request box. We collect your first name, and email address only at this stage. The email request boxes are set up as a ‘double opt-in’. This means that you will get a confirmation email to double check that you are interested in receiving updates from us.
The double opt-in is partly for your security so that we know that it was you who submitted the email address. The other reason is so that we can fully comply with anti-spam regulations.
Other personal information
We understand that online privacy is important to you, so our discretion is extremely important to us. When you are working on improving your business, It’s not a good idea to advertise what you are doing. You don’t want your customers to know what you are doing until you are ready to tell them, this is even more important in relation to competitors.
We aim to always exercise the utmost discretion while dealing with those who have chosen to work with us. The reason why we take the security of your information so seriously is two fold. Firstly it is a core value in relation to our business model. Secondly, it would not make sense for our client details to fall into the hands of our competition.
At any time, for any reason you can request to see the information that we have on file about you or your company. We will delete this if asked to do so. If you decide that you want to send us complete details about you or your company then obviously we will have a significant amount of information about you. We take the security of your data very seriously.
This data will be stored separately to our website or email system. We keep abreast of the latest in data storage and high level security strategies.
Social media privacy
If you click on any social media related links on our website, there will be ‘cyber evidence’ of this. For example if you click on our Twitter link and go to our Twitter page, Twitter will know that you have been referred by us. If you read an article and click ‘LIKE’ then Facebook will obviously be aware.
If you are concerned about social media privacy then each site will have guidance pages to allow you to adjust your security settings.
We will not post anything personal to you on any place online, without your explicit permission. In fact we can’t think of a good reason for doing this under any circumstance anyway.
